She made everything seem so far
So unreachable, untouchable
When she smiles
Everything came to a speeding stop

She made everything zoom past like a speeding car
So fast, unapproachable
She dims all in style
Not any wouldn't drop

She has the beauty that
Sinks the Fish
Drops the Swallows
Hides the Moon
Shame the Flowers

And yet all the most of beaut
Lies in her cool, cold heart
That yearns a key to let warmth
Flood the freezing part

The sidelines are cruel
Yet the spirit is steadfast
As it does not possess the fit
To unlock that of the cast

I stumbled upon a highly interesting PSP Game: Echochrome. Its a game whereby you have to move a figure around, chasing echos. Sounds lame? Ok. There are obstacles you have to go around. And this figure can only move forward and priorities moving left when at a intersection. Sounds lame still? Ok. Here's the 5 laws that rule the world of Echochrome.

1) Perspective traveling: If you can manage to link 1 end another end of a different route by shifting the camera angle, there exist a path.

2) Perspective landing: When falling through a hole, you will land on the place that "appears" to be underneath you, even if the physical object is some distance away.

3) Perspective absence: By shifting the camera angle, if you can't see the hole, the hole doesn't exist.

4) Perspeective existence: By blocking the hole in between paths, a continuous path is formed because you can no longer "see" the hole

5) Perspective jump: When you step on a jump spot, the character will automatically jump to what appears to be above the place.

This 5 rules totally made the game unique and totally explores the concept of 3-D.

I highly recommend it to PSP Players

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Alright Jian Wei, have been busy recently so lacking in updates... Here ya goes..

My heartiest congratulations to Temasek Polytechnic Band for Gold in National Band Competition!!

This makes me reflect back to those times whereby I am a part of the big family. the familt that bonds by music, the family that bonds by grittinf our teeth real tight in time of crisis. Those were the Days of my Life man.. I really kinda missed them and i actually feel paiseh to go back... Its like the personnel change is simply too great.. I can imagine the "WTF??!!!" kind of face of the members the moment I pushed open the door.

hahaha.. Said something so damn philosophical today.. "Separation is inevitable in life. It's just like death. You can't prevent it, you can only be ready for it" So inky (translate to chinese) right? No, I did not lie about the fact that I do not have a girlfriend. No, this is not about me breaking up with my girlfriend when in the 1st place, I do not have 1. What sparked this light? Simple, I had a good friend (more like brothers) in TP Band. we hung out, crapped, practiced, and laughed together. Along came many commitments and the distance between us lengthened.. NO, this is not about Brokeback Mountain either, I'm Straight as a 180 degrees line. When i was catching up with a fellow bandy (band member) she asked me what happened between us.. this got me thinking.. Yeah.. thoughout our lifespan on Earth, we many make friends with up to 150,000 different individuals.. yet only a mere 10% of it can make it to the 5th year of friendship and only 1 can open the lock in our hearts and the key that we hold from the past would finally found its lock.. I wonder where's the lock for the key that I'm holding..

Without Her, I feel Her arms around me

How true..

"The true measure of a Hero isn't the size of his strength, but the size of his heart". This applies to Us, normal people (not Heroes) as Well!! I may ask, whats the value of a person? Is it judged by how much he has created? How much he left behind? Well.. My personal answer is "It is judged by how he live his life" He can waste away his entire life by doing something that he hates, or really find where he belongs. Hercules does not belong in the normal crowd until he learnt to control his powers. The normal crowd do not belong in the vinicity of Hercules until they learnt how to appreciate his presence.

Similarly, One does not belong to another person until he finds the person that completes his circle. I always believe in the concept of Duality. Things are always created in Pairs.. Just like Positive and Negative, Yin and Yang, Protons and Electrons, Male and Female.. We will NEVER be happy till we find the other person that complements us Fully.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I officially pronounce myself to have won the Prestigious "IT'S OK!!!" Prize.. what's that prize, you may ask... Its a prize created by and given to Soo Zhen Hong Kenny.. for the "It's ok" spirit..

I know its normal for us, people in the service front-line, to constantly use the term "It's ok".. be it to customers, collegues or to events.. "It's ok" really does the job... You might be thinking that I am so proud to the extent that I start goving myself prizes.. but NO!!! recently something happened that makes me feel so..

I lost something that is close to my heart recently.. It came to me as a shock.. the loss of something important and dear usually let people feel the sense of remorse, loss, and pain.. Miraculosly, I felt NONE.. In fact, I feel that the "something" actually never did exist in my life.. This had me wondering that am I looking at life too easily and lightly and/or my feelings are getting numb.. Things that usually able to trigger off my temper seems to be losing that ability.. I begin to just think "It's ok"..

Strange isn't it?

A llok at the previous post reveals that I haven't updated my blog for like almost a week.. hahaha.. might be due to the immense levels of adenosines building up in my system..

Nothing much happened recently.. but i caught a show: "10 Promises to my Dog".

From the title, it looks like a show about a dog.. Most people would find it a show about dogs.. in my opinion, it shows the reflection of life. the show had really displayed the attitude of life in humans.. how we

1) Get so focused in work that we neglect in those that are dear to us
2) Can be easily replaced by material objects
3) Do not respect the brittleness of life
4) Had to part with things or people in order to grow up
5) Only realise the immense value of something when its gone

Pretending She's beside me

A search through my laptop reveals much forgottened songs.. but 1 of them pops out like a sore thumb: Les Miserables, concert band version.. this brought me back to the times in TP Band.. The suppers, the Throwing into Koi Ponds (thx baldwin..) the highly animated combines... makes me feeli like going back.. but then again, looking back throught the memories only provides one with more things to think of.. i strongly feels that 1 must think only of tomorrow in order to progress.. Albus Dumbledore has said: "Men has wasted lives in front of the Mirror of Erised" The Mirror of Erised is actually Desire spelled backwards.. the looking back in the memories only makes us wanting to go back and change the things that turn out bad to what we want (desire) it to be.. by continuously sarting into this desire, we will only waste lives... We can only do what History wants us to learn.. To Learn from Mistakes and Never repeat them.. Life is too valuable to be wasted

well.. somtimes its hard not to believe things.. I remember Kangaroo from Horton saying "If you can't see it, you can't hear it, it doesn't exist".. well.. this phrase doesn't apply to me.. Went to supper with my managers Mervix and Serene.. ate and watched some retro old channel 8 (where those male actors still has those center partings and curry pok) show, we decided to head home at 3+ am.. after accompanying my managers for their cab, I started the journey home on m bicycle.. have no rear lights, i decided to move up on the pavement when i hear a car (should be Zng before de, the sound of the car sounds like Takumi's AE86) approaching from the back.. Spotting a pedestrain crossing, i decided to move up.. leaning into the corner, just as I thought I made the turn, my rear wheel shifted violently and i crashed head on onto the pavement.. The CONCRETE ROUGH SUPER JAGGED PAVEMENT!!!

Outcome (Bicycle): Left gear broke (shattered seems to be more accurate), front wheel bent, left pedal dropped..

Outcome (Cyclist): 1cm length cut on left knee, bloody right toe due to torn nail, and thats it..

Analysis of crash: left pedal struck pavement creating drag, center of gravity of back wheel changed to right due to drag on left, front wheel shifted to left due to left shifting backwheel, off balanced, crashed.. left pedal received most of impact-drop off as a result, jagged pavement shattered left gear, weight of down falling cyclist pressed on bicycle and dented front wheel..

Cause: Unknown

Justification: I am so positively sure that i cleared the pavement.. My rear wheel shifted suddenly when i entered the corner and its impossible.. worse: the car passed the possible spot of me if i hadn't decided to change to the pavement.. 50 kg on a jagged pavement and all i received were a cut, a "hangnail ", and a shakened body... sounds supernatural? Yeah.. I'm lucky.

Almost busted my head today.. some smart aleck placed a cup on top of the locker and when i retrieved my bag, the cup fell and missed me by 3.23429487123854cm... close shave... BUT, Da Nan Bu Si Bi You Hou Fu.. so i guess i'll be fine.. ok.. i admit, i'm trying to convince myself.. OFF DAY!!!! time to bust some adenosines... had all my activities planned for the next day.. 1 word: Sleep.. ok.. and to cut hair.. the feeling of having hair in my eye totally irritates me to the core...

Nothing much happened these few days.. except that I feel that I should tune down slightly.. at this rate that i'm going, i'm bound to offend some people unintentionally.. I mean, nobody would like to take orders from a Grunschnabel.. But what to do? thats my style... however, it is impossible for people to change for you.. If the mountain doesn't go to Muhammed, then Muhammed must go to the mountain..

Start off today's blog entry with a question: If you saved $0.10 on the 1st day of the month and subsequently saved the double of the amount saved the previous day, how much would you have saved up at the end of 1 month? My suggestion, just make a wild guess unless you can quickly establish a general formula involving Binomial Theorem, Quadratic and Exponential Growth.

In Candy Bar liao.. haha.. meaning its back to the usual routine in McDonalds.. Made a TERRIBLE mistake yesterday.. A patron asked for a nachos combo.. Suddenly, my McDonalds instincts kicked in.. "Upsize?" I asked.. LOL!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???!!! omg la... i'm like, so stunned at the word.. lol.. Mervix (my manager) was like giving me the "wtf" look.. Well.. It all ended in a good laugh..

Btw, the answer (calculated) is actually $161,061,273.60

Inspirational

Heya.. visited a friend's blog today and stumbled upon a very nice song.. with the kind help of Google, i managed to find out the title of the song.. (just listen out for 1 sentence of the lyrics and google it).. The title is "Cry on my Shoulder".. yeah i know, sounds old fashioned but its nice.. as a result, i uploaded it onto my blog to share with you pple.. with the kind help of Youtube, i realised that this song is actually sang by the Top 10 Finalists of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, DSDS for short.. That's the German equivalent of American Idol.. I guess if the lyrics in the chorus of the song is said to a really down girl, the girl will definitely melt.. =P

But if you wanna cry, cry on my shoulders.
If you need someone who cares for you
If you're feeling sad, your heart gets colder
Yes I show you what real love can do -Chorus lyrics from Cry on my Shoulders

The 4 sentences to totally melt the heart of a loved one.

Thanks Google again for showing all the links to DSDS.. I stumbled by accident (I Swear it's true!!!) on another song by DSDS.. Title's: We have a Dream.. It almost moved me to tears.. It's really highly inspirational and the melody coincides with the song perfectly by constantly raising to higher keys and superb use of the voices of females to add tension and feelings.. all in all, a song well done..

We have a Dream. Music is our lives.
We have a Hope. Music will survive.
We'll take the chance. We had it all.
We feel like heroes. We're standing tall -Chorus lyrics from We have a Dream

Simple 4 phrases in a stanza with immense meaning, highly inspirational.

The powerful voices of the Top 10s really impressed me.

Tiring day.. met a few funny customers.. like one who wanted to watch Incredible Hulk and got too excited and requested for Incredible Cock.. LOL.. That had me in siezures of laughter.. lol.. The popper CAUGHT FIRE!!!!!~~ due to a faulty thermostat that caused the kettle to be unable to control its temperature and keep rising.. end result: Genting Highlands... with a burning smell..

saw an entry in a book.. a book by Robert Kiyosaki... he mentioned about the fact that people spend half of their lives trying to climb the corporate ladder through both scrupulous and unscrupulous means.. he stated the types of actons people resort to and being a business owner, one would have to be able to recognise these actions and differentiate them.. well.. that set me thinking for the whole day.. (fyi: i read that in the morning)

Why must people spend their lives climbing the corporate ladder? Why don't i OWN the ladder? i mean that makes more sense.. i wouldn't want to be the one resorting to these means.. i would want to be the one RECOGNISING these means.. well.. at least there's something to occupy my mind for the upcoming OFF DAY!!!~~~

Finally

Finally.. After months of struggling, thousandrous (i know there's no such word but i just made it up) excuses, i finally got a blog.. As it would apply to things such as keeping pets: it's easy to aquire but hard to maintain.. i hope that i would be able to maintain and keep this blog going.. this blog is initially intended to be a chest of souls for my daily soul searching.. though i still like the practice of staring at the celing and thinking through the day or making long walks in the night to reflect.. this blog would (i hope) be an alternate source of reflection..

okok.. i own up.. mental block at 3.18am.. dunno what to pen (well, not exactly...) down.. so i'll just leave it at that and check back every 2 days(?), perhaps?

Well, the future's uncertain.. whatever will be, will be..

Que sera sera..
